Kartik Aaryan Voluntarily Exits Shah Rukh Khan’s Production Venture Freddie? Actor Was Reportedly Unhappy With The Film’s Script
A few weeks ago, Kartik Aaryan had hit the headlines after he was dropped from Dostana 2. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions had confirmed that they will be recasting Dostana 2. A few reports stated that after all this, Karan vowed never to work with Kartik Aaryan. Now, since the morning, the Internet has been buzzing with reports of Kartik no more being a part of Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment’s Freddie. According to a report in ETimes, Kartik Aaryan voluntarily opted out of it.

The report in ETimes states that Kartik voluntarily exited from Shah Rukh Khan’s production venture, and that he has also returned the signing amount. Kartik was reportedly not happy with the film’s script, and had creative differences with the makers. A source informed the entertainment portal that creative differences surfaced in the last 15 days as Kartik expressed to director Ajay Bahl that he was unhappy with the script. It also states that with the film being a love story, Kartik felt that Katrina Kaif, who he was paired opposite in the film, would look older to him.

ETimes reports that all of the above reasons were why Kartik cordially opted out of the film.

Kartik Aaryan was last seen in the film Love Aaj Kal, opposite Sara Ali Khan, and the film released in 2020. He will soon be seen as Arjun Pathak in Dhamaka, which will release on an OTT platform.
