Kedarnath Trailer Launch: Sara Ali Khan Opens Up On Janhvi Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan And Her Debut
Sushant Singh Rajput, Sara Ali Khan, Abhishek Kapoor and many others came together to launch the trailer of Kedarnath a little while ago. Here's all that's happened at the event
Kedarnath trailer has finally released on social media. The film, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles, is about a love story between a Muslim man and a Hindu girl, woven around the 2013 flash floods which devastated the township of Kedarnath. At the trailer launch the cast and crew was present to talk to the media.
Sushant was looking dapper in a suit while Sara was looking lovely in white. Also present were director Abhishek Kapoor, his wife Pragya Kapoor and Ronnie Screwvala. Here are the videos from the trailer launch:

Sushant said while speaking about the film, "When I am acting, I generally don't see the monitors. So, now that I have seen the final product, I am very intrigued knowing the story. I hope what we have tried to do with our honesty and skills, is liked by all."
Talking of Sara, Sushant said that she was hesitant before the shots, but she always managed to bring something fresh in every scene and that used to keep him on his toes.
When asked about Sara's debut, Abhishek said, "When we narrated the story to her, she took to it. She wasn't looking at the movie as a launch per se. She just heard the story and wanted to be a part of it." He also went on to say that he at times tends to lose his temper on sets, and Sara was always very calm and used to listen to everything very calmly and never lose her patience.

Sara too opened up about the first time she heard the story of the film. "I was narrated the story at Sandeep Khosla's place and my mom (Amrita Singh) was with me. Abhishek and writer Kanika Kapoor were there to tell the story, and after listening to it we all were left with goosebumps and were teary eyed as well. It was a very surreal experience. I had decided that time only that I want to be a part of this."
Addressing the elephant in the room, Sara spoke up about the debuts of her contemporaries Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday and others. She said, "I have said this previously. All of us are here to do our jobs. Janhvi has done amazingly. I saw Dhadak and I felt she was fantastic. Everybody loved her work and I hope people also love my work." Cutting in towards the end Sushant said, "Just to add, there have been years when 2 actors have got best debut awards. It's quite possible with Sara and Janhvi."
Sara goes on to talk about Kareena Kapoor Khan saying that she is very professional and she would love to imbibe that from her.
All this and lots more. Watch the videos above. Besides Sara and Sushant, the film also stars Nitish Bharadwaj, Alka Amin, Sonali Sachdev, Pooja Gor and Nishant Dahiya. Kedarnath will hit theatres on December 7.
