Make way for a new couple in town. Oh sorry, let's be more specific, make way for a new 'onscreen' couple in town as it is official that Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday will come together for the first time for Khaali Peeli. Earlier, there were reports saying that Ananya has landed a meaty role in acclaimed director Ali Abbas Zafar's first production venture. Though nothing much has been revealed about the said project, it was also said that Ishaan has also be roped in for the same. Well, looks like the film is finally happening and the rumours have turned out to be true. Today, the makers announced the arrival of the film by sharing the first look poster of the two. Going by this picture, we are curious to know what's there in the store for us. The film is produced by Bharat director Ali Abbas Zafar and directed by Maqbool Khan. The shooting of the film will go on floors from Sept 11, 2019, and will hit the big screens on June 12, 2020.  

In the poster, Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan is sporting an open denim shirt while Ananya is seen donning a white sexy crop top, pairing it with denim shorts. Locking their eyes with each other, the duo is seen leaning on a taxi which seems like it is on the sets of the film. Meanwhile, Ishaan was last seen in Dhadak along with Janhvi Kapoor. The actor won a lot of accolades from the audience as well as from the critics. Ishaan will also be starring in Mira Nair's directorial venture which is an adaption of Vikram Seth's A Suitable Boy along with Tabu and Tanya Maniktala. While talking to Mumbai Mirror, Ishaan said, "I hope I can satisfy Mira’s vision and give the global audience the character they deserve in Maan Kapoor (his character)" Tabu was also quoted saying, "Having worked with Mira previously in The Namesake, I am looking forward to another creatively challenged experience."

While Ananya Panday who made her debut in Karan Johar's Student Of The Year 2 will be seen in Pati Patni Aur Woh. The actress even shared a photo of herself from her first day of the shoot, tagging herself the 'kebab mein haddi.' The shooting for the film has already begun. The film also stars Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar.
