In a recent interview, Kiara Advani revealed that her real name is Aaliya, but she changed it to Kiara on Salman Khan's insistence

Kiara Advani made her Bollywood debut in 2014 with the film Fugly, however, she only gained real recognition, post her stint in Lust Stories. Now, as she made an appearance on Voot's Feet Up with the Stars Season 2, the actress revealed that her real name is Aaliya and she changed it on Salman Khan’s insistence.

Said Kiara, “Aaliya is my first name. Salman Khan suggested me to change it because of Alia Bhatt because there can't be two actresses with the same name in Bollywood. He suggested the change, but 'Kiara' is the name that I chose. Now even my parents have started to call me Kiara.”

Then, she spoke about how she bagged the role in Lust Stories without auditioning for it. Said the actress, “Karan Johar has an eye for it. He spots a performer and he knows how to get it done.” When she was shooting the scene that involved her to use a vibrator, she recalls Karan’s words, “Don't make it a caricature, just be raw and do it. It's a funny scene but don't make it funny.”

On the work front, Kiara was last seen in a special appearance in Karan Johar’s Kalank, that failed to deliver at the box-office. Next, she has Kabir Singh opposite Shahid Kapoor, which is an official remake of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. The film is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and will be releasing on June 21.|

Apart from this, she also has Good News that stars Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh.
