Kirron Kher Roasts Karan Johar, Leaves Netizens Baffled; She Says, ‘Anarkali Ban Ke Aaya Hua Hai’
Karan Johar and Kirron Kher reunited at Amitabh Bachchan’s Diwali party and their friendly banter left the netizens perplexed
Filmmaker Karan Johar and actress Kirron Kher share a very fun relationship. We have seen glimpses of it when they judge the reality show India’s Got Talent and through Karan’s Instagram series TOODLES. The duo was reunited at Amitabh Bachchan’s Diwali party last night.
In a video shared by the filmmaker, the senior actress is seen making playful jibes at Karan as he questioned her on her all red attire. When Karan asks her, “Aren’t we late for Karwa Chauth?” she says, “You shut up. Tu jo ye Anarkali ban ke aaya hua hai na, thodi der me mujra andar hone wala hai. Jitni nazakat tum me hai, itni kisi aurat mein nahi hai yahaa pe. (You’ve dressed up like Anarlkali, they are going start dancing inside in sometime. No women here has as much grace and delicacy as you.)”
Finding her words hilarious, Karan laughs and states that his outfit has a lot of texture and embroidery. He says, “I have a feeling that my outfit has a lot of texture and embroidery. It’s beautiful. I think what you are wearing is a little bit seen.” Laughing on their ongoing silly banter Kirron says, “My dress is not seen as it was made specifically for me.” “Much better than yours, everybody knows it. Even you know this,” she continued
Sharing the video on his social media handle, Karan wrote, “The OG #TOODLES @kirronkhermp is back!!!”
While the video left many in splits, some were baffled at the word used by Kher. One commenter wrote, “I personally didn't like the way she is mocking Karan's way of expression by mentioning his 'Nazakaat' and comparing it with that of 'Auratein'. It's silly of this talented lady to sahi this.” Other wrote, “Iss pagal budiya ki video kyu dalte ho...always insulting eveeybody...she is men not women.” Another wrote, “Only kiran kher can say those things to Karan. Ma ki dant ashirwad hoti hai.”
One even pointed out that what Kirron said was very rude. One of his followers shaid, “Kiran Kher is very very demeaning. She is exactly like one of those mohalle ki aunty with toxic thinking.”
On the work front, Karan Johar recently wrapped up Season 7 of Koffee with Karan. He will be making his directorial return with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The movie will also star Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan in lead roles.
