Bareilly Ki Barfi is a rom-com set in Uttar Pradesh and will go on floors next month. While Ayushmann owns a printing press in the movie, Rajkummar will essay the role of an author. Kriti will play a liberated, forward-thinking UP girl.
To talk of the cast’s previous projects, Ayushmann recently concluded a successful tour of US and Canada. The actor-singer also released a single Yahin Hoon Main featuring his Vicky Donor co-star, Yami Gautam.
Kriti, on the other hand, has wrapped up Dinesh Vijan’s Raabta in Mauritius. The film will see the actress opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao who was last seen in Aligarh, has wrapped up Ramesh Sippy’s Shimla Mirchi, Vikramaditya Motwane’s next and Amit Masurkar’s Newton.
Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, who made her directorial debut with Swara Bhaskar-starrer Nil Battey Sannata, announced the film on social media last month. She tweeted, “Excited, nervous 2 direct lovely @kritisanon @ayushmannk @RajkummarRao in a different story close to my #bareillykibarfi! (sic).”
