Kriti Sanon On Her Transformation for Mimi: ‘I Had To Put On 15 Kilos In 2 Months To Play Surrogate Mother’
Actor Kriti Sanon is all set to set the silver screen on fire with her upcoming film Mimi. In order to get into the skin of her role, the Heropanti star has undergone a massive physical transformation. Kriti will be seen playing the role of a surrogate mother and for the same, she has put on weight. The actress revealed that she put on 15 kgs in just two months for her role and that she had to let go of projects till Mimi's shoot was complete.

Talking about setting aside a chunk of some months for the shoot of Mimi, Kriti said, "I had to put on 15kgs in 2 months for Mimi which I could start losing only once I had completed the film. She added, “It made more sense to not take up any other project during the shoot and even till a few months after since I needed to lose the weight before starting any other project. I did let go of a lot of award show performances too in that period because dancing makes me lose weight very fast.”

On a related note, Mimi also features Pankaj Tripathi, Manoj Pahwa, Sai Tamhankar, and Supriya Pathak in pivotal roles. Mimi will narrate a quirky tale of a feisty and carefree girl (Kriti) who becomes a surrogate mother to make money. Directed by Laxman Utekar, Mimi is slated to release on July 30 on Jio Cinema and Netflix.

Besides this, Kriti also has an array of exciting projects including Adipurush, Bachchan Pandey, Bhediya, and Ganapath in her kitty.
