Raees fame Mahira Khan candidly spoke about her relationship with ex-husband Ali Askari in her recent appearance on the FWhy Podcast. The 38-year-old revealed how madly she was in love with Ali and she moved to Los Angeles at the age of 17 for him. She shared how they got married to each other back in 2007.
She said “We were always supposed to go to LA since my uncles were already there, but at 17, I insisted that I go early since I was in love and he was there. But, after going there, mujhe meri naani yaad aa gayi.” Pakistani TV sensation recalls her painful divorce back in 2015 as the two co-parent their son Azlan at the moment. Mahira and Ali welcomed their baby boy in 2009 and the actress recalled how things were tough for her emotionally as she knew their relationship was on the verge of a downfall. She said “Post Azu, I knew my marriage was…even prior I think.. But I think you let it go on and you love the person, who is your childhood sweetheart..But I think that was a very painful and difficult time. I was so young at the time. I had a baby, I was scared. Professionally, I was very successful. I never knew I would become successful overnight with Humsafar. But personally, it was a tough time,” Mahira shared. Mahira Khan is known for several hit Pakistani dramas including Humsafar, Bin Roye, Shehr-e-Zaat and Sadqay Tumhare.The actress is currently dating her longtime beau Salim Karim and the two might get married soon. Mahira is reuniting with Humsafar co-star Fawad Khan for Pakistan's first ever Netflix original Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo.
