Married Star Irrfan Khan Announces That He Wants To Look For Love On An App!
At the trailer launch of Qarib Qarib Singlle, Irrfan Khan announced that he is looking for an app where he can find dates. Interestingly, his wife and son were a part of the audience
Irrfan Khan plays
a man looking for love on an app in his upcoming film Qarib Qarib Singlle. He
meets Jaya and together they embark on a journey which ends in love but not the
‘Saath jeene marne wali story’ (like the film’s tagline clarifies).
Irrfan Khan was
at his candid best at the event where he was joined by his co-star, Malayalam
actress Parvathy, director Tanuja Chandra and his wife Sutapa Sikdar.
When was asked
about his opinion online dating, Irrfan’s reply surprised everyone. “I believe
in it and I am looking for an app which makes it all easy. It is a practical
thing but our society wants to cover it up and that makes it weird. Why feel
guilty about a natural thing.”
He then added:
“Main apna face daalonga toh log yakin nahi karenge ki yeh joh dating ke liye
bol raha yeh Irrfan hai.”
Well, the
statement took everyone by surprise because his wife was sitting by his side
onstage and their son was in the audience.
