Mere Sohneya Song: The Latest Track From Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh Hits The Right Sufi Note!
Mere Sohneya is the third song from the album and it has a beautiful sufi touch to it that enhances Shahid and Kiara’s chemistry in the film
Ever since the makers have launched the first 2 songs of the Kabir Singh album, the rocking album has been on everyone’s playlist. Even Alia Bhatt shared a song on her Instagram story and revealed that she has been listening to that song on loop. We are of-course talking about Bekhayali that is a soulful and heart-touching song that depicts the love story of the lead pair and also the Shahid aka Dr Kabir Singh’s madness and passion for his lover that leads him on the path of self-destruction.
And now the makers have released yet another song and it’s awesome. The name of the song is Mere Sohneya and it depicts Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani’s twisted yet beautiful relationship. We loved Shahid and Kiara’s chemistry in the video and also are in awe of his jilted lover act that happens in the second half. We also love Kiara’s de-glam avatar. The sufi touch to the song definitely enhances the chemistry and the lyrics are truly heart-touching. Watch the song below:
Mere Sohneya has been sung by Sachet Tandon & Parampara Thakur. The lyrics of the songs are also penned by Irshad Kamil. While the movie showcases the emotions of love and heartbreak, at the trailer launch, when Shahid was asked about experiencing heartbreaks in real life, the actor said, “Aap mile honge mujhse iss phase mein meri life ke. Farak sirf itna tha ki main clean-shaven rehta tha. Toh dil mein mere kya ho raha hai who pata nahi chalta tha. Dil toh sabka tootta hai and I think Kabir Singh ke level tak koi nahi le jaata. There are very few people who take it to that level. That’s why probably he is a character that you would want to watch a film about because he is so different and so new. But of course, when heart breaks you don’t like anything. It feels like you’re watching a black-and-white movie. Life becomes colourless. But then, you have to get over it and move on."
Kabir Singh is an official remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Deverakonda. It is directed by Sandeep Vanga, produced by Bhushan Kumar, MuradKhetani, Krishan Kumar, AshwinVarde and is scheduled to release on June 21, 2019.
