Mission Mangal Trailer Review:  Akshay Kumar-Vidya Balan’s Mission To Mars Evokes Patriotic Fervour
A while back, the trailer of Mission Mangal was released online. The 2 min 52 sec clip shows Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan spearheading India’s mission to send a spacecraft to orbit Mars. The trailer begins with Akshay’s voiceover that says, “There is no science without experiment.”

Mission Mangal is based on the true story of Indian Space Research Organisation’s Mars Orbiter Mission. He essays the role of Rakesh Dhawan while Vidya Balan plays Tara Shinde and the duo is joined by a brilliant team of scientists comprising of Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen. Together, they all embark on a next to impossible mission of infusing home science and sending a satellite to Mars in their very first attempt, a feat achieved by no other nation.


The trailer boasts of some powerful dialogues that are bound to leave a lasting impression on the viewers’ mind. Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan are in top form and their quest to motivate others to fulfil the mission seems promising enough. Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menon and Sharman Joshi are also delightful to watch and the entire team seems pumped up to work on their mission.


The trailer ends with Akshay saying, “Poori duniya se kaho, copy that!” followed by the signature tune of Vande Mataram. In its entirety, this seems to be an engaging watch and the trailer surely evokes feelings of high patriotism.
