Jacqueline Fernandez is facing a tough time as she is constantly being summoned for interrogation by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekar. On Thursday, the actress appeared before a Delhi court to hear her regular bail plea and told the court that ED has been harassing and bothering her. She also called all allegations against her 'baseless'. Jacqueline stated that she is regularly being stopped by ED to travel abroad due to work.

As reported by ABP news, the Kick actress, during the hearing in the court, also alleged that she was even stopped to visit her mother last year. She mentioned that the Enforcement Directorate department has been unnecessarily bothering her despite she is cooperating with them in the investigation. Jacqueline’s lawyer told the judge that Jacqueline herself surrendered in this case and that the court has granted her interim bail. On the other hand, as soon as the hearing started, the court asked the ED's lawyer to give copies of all the documents related to the case. The ED further told the court that when Jacqueline was confronted with the evidence, she told the facts. The ED added that the actress is a foreign national and her family lives in Sri Lanka. The ED told the court that in December 2021, Jacqueline also tried to escape. Hearing this statement of ED, the court reportedly questioned ED if you had enough evidence against Jacqueline, then why you not arrested her.

Meanwhile, in its charge sheet, ED had earlier stated, “During the investigation, statements of Jacqueline Fernandez were recorded on August 30, 2021, and October 20, 2021, Jacqueline Fernandez stated she received gifts viz three designer bags from Gucci, Chanel, and two Gucci outfits for gym wear. A pair of Louis Vuitton shoes, two pairs of diamond earrings and a bracelet of multi-coloured stones, two Hermes bracelets. She also received a Mini Cooper which she returned.”
