Rishi Kapoor was one of the most loved stars of Bollywood. He passed away on April 30, 2020, after a two-year battle with cancer. In a recent interview, Neetu Kapoor recalled the last time she spoke to him and his last days in the hospital. The veteran actress shared that April 13, 2020, was the last day she had a conversation with Rishi Kapoor as he was put on a ventilator after that. It was their engagement anniversary.
She added that her son Ranbir and Alia Bhatt's wedding functions also began on April 13. RK and Alia tied the knot on April 14, but the puja was held on April 13 this year.
Recalling his final days, she told Film Companion, "For two weeks, he was on the ventilator and there was no conversation and no communication. There was no interaction-well, there was, he was looking at me, and I took an iPad with alphabet and I told him to point out what he wanted to say, but he couldn't lift his finger. It was Ranbir and me in the hospital, and to see him go through that was so tormenting... To see a man like him... he wanted to say so much, and he couldn't express. I couldn't see him like that." But when Riddhima got married, she bloomed. You have to let go of people. It's their journey. Let them lead their own lives, and be happy."
On the work front, Neetu is currently seen as a judge on the dance reality show Dance Deewane Juniors. For the unversed, she will be seen in Jug Jugg Jeeyo.
