Salman Khan took to his Instagram to share a picture of himself with Olympics silver medallist Mirabai Chanu. He shared the photo and expressed how lovely it was meeting Mirabai
Bollywood actor Salman Khan on Wednesday shared a picture on his social media after his meeting with Olympics silver medallist Saikhom Mirabai Chanu. The actor took to his Instagram to share a picture and made a post. He also expressed how lovely it was meeting with the Indian athlete. In the picture, the superstar is clicked standing next to Mirabai and posing for the photo. Salman, who is Mirabai’s favourite actor, is seen wearing a scarf around his neck.
Salman Khan shared the picture, and wrote in the caption, “Happy for u silver medalist @mirabai_chanu .. lovely meeting wid u … best wishes always!” The Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor wished the athlete the ‘best’ and tagged her in the post.

For the unversed, Chanu was the first Indian to get on the medals tally at the recently concluded Tokyo Games. Salman Khan had then made a tweet, congratulating her on her victory. “Congratulations @mirabai_chanu on becoming a nation’s superstar today! You made us proud & how!! During one of her earlier interviews with the media, the Indian weightlifter had shared that Salman Khan is her favourite actor. She was quoted as saying, “Salman Khan mujhe bahut hi pasand hai. Unki body structure, sab pasand hai. (I like Salman Khan and his body structure)"
Saikhom Mirabai Chanu made history by ending India’s 21-year wait for a weightlifting medal at the Olympics. She won a silver medal in weightlifting for the country in the 49 kg category.
