OMG! Ram Gopal Varma Says 'KGF Chapter 2 And The Kashmir Files ‘F*ked Up Everything’; Reveals Nobody In Bollywood Liked Yash Starrer
It seems like filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma and controversies go hand in hand. In a new interview, RGV has made some shocking revelations about Yash’s blockbuster film ‘KGF Chapter 2’. He revealed that nobody in Bollywood liked the film, in fact, one big Hindi director told him that he tried to watch Prashanth Neel’s directorial five times but he couldn’t go beyond half an hour. Not just this, Ram Gopal asserted that films like ‘KGF Chapter 2’ and ‘The Kashmir Files’ have ‘f**ked up everything’.

Speaking with Bollywood Hungama, the Rangeela director said, “Two films that have f**ked up everything are KGF - Chapter 2 and The Kashmir Files. They are the opposite ends of the spectrum. The scary part of KGF – Chapter 2 is that nobody in Bollywood liked it. When a film you didn’t like does such numbers, you’ll be confused and you don’t know what to do.” ALSO READ: Ram Gopal Varma REACTS To Ranveer Singh's NUDE Photoshoot: ‘If Women Can Show Off Sexy Bodies, Why Can't Men?

He went on to slam KGF: Chapter saying that nobody in Bollywood really liked it despite its huge collection at the box office. “A very big director of Bollywood told me, ‘Ramu, I tried to watch it five times but I couldn’t go beyond half an hour’. He then got back to working on the script for his next film. While arguing over a scene, his scriptwriter reasoned, ‘But this kind of scene worked in KGF: Chapter 2, right?’! There’s a line in Hollywood, ‘You can argue with content, but you can’t argue with success’! Hence, whether or not you liked it, you can’t ignore its success,” RGV added.

Earlier, the filmmaker criticized KGF 2 via tweets on Twitter and called it a dark cloud. He compared the film to an "enormous tree under whose shadow, no tree seems to be growing."

Both ‘KGF Chapter 2’ and ‘The Kashmir Files’ were blockbusters at the box office. While Yash starrer broke all records at BO, Vivek Agnihotri’s film based on the 1990s exodus of Kashmiri Hindus was hailed as a movement.
