Parineeti Chopra scored a hattrick in 2021, despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, audiences were treated with three films starring the actress as the female lead. It includes Saina, Girl on the Train and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. In conversation with Bollywood Hungama, she revealed how Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar was written off by many, claiming that the movie won’t work and makers too had given up on it. However, as the film scores well with the audience’s on the OTT platform, the actress is happy.
The actress says, “A lot of people had written off the film, a lot of people thought ke is film ka kuch nahi hoga. Ye buri film hai, makers ne ya YRF ne ispe give up kar diya hai, kya kuch nahi bola gaya and we always felt ki yaar just give it a chance and wohi hua.” She further states though unfortunately due to COVID-19 people did not go to the theatres, but like they hoped the audience understood this film.
She further adds, “So getting a due as an actor and getting the due as the star of the film, dono hua ha is film ke saath, so that I’m really happy about.”
During her interaction, she also spilt the beans about how after her debut she delivered hit movies and was also recognized for it. Unfortunately, when the films did not work people began to question her acting abilities and did not think, maybe the material of the film did not work for her. Hence, when Dibaker Banerjee’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar came her way, she felt this was the film that would get her back in the game. She also praised the director for having the ability to get the best out of the actor.
