Yash Raj Films’ Pathan will be marking a reunion of Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan on the silver screen after three years. The duo will be joined by John Abraham as he plays an antagonist in the film. As per reports in Mid Day, the lead pair is likely to resume the shoot from June 15 onwards. However, it is not confirmed yet as the industry awaits for the government’s decision that will allow them to shoot in Mumbai. The team will be shooting the film in a bio-bubble.
Meanwhile, the production banner is getting the Pathan’s crew vaccinated against COVID-19, with few members already being vaccinated, rest will be receiving their dose in the next week. The source of the said publication informs, “Some members of Pathan crew have received their jabs, the majority will be vaccinated over the next week. Buzz in the industry is that the government will give a green signal to shoots after June 15.”
The source further informs, team planning to shoot in bio-bubble, keeping in mind the severe effect of COVID-19 second wave in India. The makers are planning to shoot in Yash Raj Studio.
“That way, the team will be ready to begin filming in a bio-bubble. The production house is treading carefully, given the impact of the second wave, and will film the portions entirely inside the Yash Raj studio in Andheri,” added the source. There are speculations that the lockdown imposed in Mumbai, Maharashtra, will be eased by June 15, 2021.
