Shah Rukh Khan is all set to make his comeback to the silver screen with War director Siddharth Anand’s upcoming directorial venture Pathan. From past few months, the film has been in the news for all the good as well as bad reasons. It was being reported that Pathan, that reportedly also stars Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan in the key roles, will be shot at Dubai’s iconic Skyscraper, Burj Khalifa. But do you know Pathan will become the first Bollywood film to be shot at World’s iconic places like NASA, Discovery Channel, Madame Tussauds and Burj Khalifa?
Yes, you heard that right! The makers of Shah Rukh Khan starrer are gearing up to shoot at some of the iconic places in the world. For those who don’t know only two Hollywood movies have been shot at towering edifices are Tom Cruise's Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, and Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Paul Walker, Jason Statham and Michelle Rodriguez's Fast and Furious 7. This will be the 4th time that Shah Rukh Khan will create history by shooting at these different locations. Earlier, SRK’s his Swades was the first to be shot at NASA, followed by Jab Tak Hai Jaan at Discovery Channel headquarters, then Fan, which became the first Indian film to be shot at Madame Tussauds.
A source had revealed to Pinkvilla, “The idea is to go one notch above what’s already done so far. Apart from Mission Impossible and Fast and Furious franchise, not many films have been shot inside Burj Khalifa and Pathan will be among the first few Indian films (probably the first) to have actual visuals of the tower from inside. A big-scale action scene centred around Burj Khalifa is in the offing from the team of Pathan.”
The source further added, “It’s a prolonged action sequence designed by an international stunt team, and one can expect spectacular visuals on the screen. It’s a culmination of Siddharth Anand, Aditya Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan’s vision, to shoot a massive action scene at Burj Khalifa. Don’t be surprised if you find SRK fighting on the top of the tower just like Tom Cruise, when you watch Pathan on the big screen.
