The makers of the film, PM Narendra Modi have recreated the song Hindustani for their film. The song has been sung by none other than original singer Shankar Mahadevan's son, Siddharth Mahadevan.

Sandip Ssingh said, "Hindustani is one of my favorite songs of all time, and who better than Siddharth we could have got for this song. It is a tribute to every Hindustani and will touch the hearts all over again." This song is originally penned by Sameer and Saaradaara, sung by Shankar Mahadevan and music was by Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy.



The recreated version of the song used in the film is sung by Siddharth Mahadevan and Shashi Suman, music is by Shashi Khushi. The original lyrics are used in the song. Music Partner is T-Series.

Directed by Omung Kumar, 'PM Narendra Modi’ the film will traverse the journey of Narendra Modi from his humble beginnings to becoming the Prime Minister of India.

The Omung Kumar directorial has been embroiled in several controversies. First, veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar and Sameer called out to the makers for wrongly including their names in the movie’s posters as they claimed they didn’t write a single song. Next, MNS Leader Shalini Thackeray demanded a ban on the movie, ahead of Lok Sabha elections. This made Vivek Oberoi cancel all media interviews

Meanwhile, the Nationalist Congress Party’s cultural wing and the Goa unit of National Students’ Union of India had also demanded ban on the release of the film, a few weeks back. The movie will hit the theaters on 5th April, 2019.
