Ranveer evades questions on Padmavati

Ranveer Singh, who is back to the city from his Swiss sojourn, attended the world premiere of Ranveer Ching Returns– The War for Desi Chinese, directed by Rohit Shetty.
When asked if he is a part of Padmavati, Ranveer avoided commenting on it and smartly stayed away from the question by talking about his ad instead. He also revealed that he was the one who suggested the mother’s part as he always wanted to play mother’s role in his life at least once.
Post the event, Ranveer, Tamannah (lead girl of the ad film) and Rohit walked down to Ajay Devgn's office (which is a few blocks away) to see the product with him together. For those who've come in late, Ajay's company has done the VFX of the ad.
The million dollar question is: Why did Ranveer shirk away from talking about Padmavati? The actor had even started reading up manuscripts on Allaudin Khilji- the character that he is supposed to portray in the film.
Seems, all is not well between him and Bhansali on the film's front. Else there would have been an official announcement from Bhansali by now.
Buzz is, the problem began when Shahid and Ranveer who have become good friends and gym mates and often discuss work, started exchanging notes on Padmavati too.
It was during this time that Ranveer learnt that Shahid has told Bhansali that his role in the film (the Rana of Mewar, Raja Rawal) needs to be reworked and extended. Did this set insecurity pangs in Ranveer to doubt Bhansali about the meat in his role of Ratan Singh?
SpotboyE.com has it that Bhansali and Ranveer suddenly don't find themselves on the same page. We hear, Ranveer for the script of Padmavati before he signs on the dotted line. This did not go down well with the National award filmmaker.
Add this to the fact that Ranveer took off to his Swiss holiday soon after the discordant notes were emitted.
With the leading man not locked yet, Bhansali has had no option but to delay the film.
So, is Bhansali looking for a replacement? Does Ranveer remain in Padmavati? Time will tell.
