Raveena Tandon Hits Back At Trolls Who Linked Her Tweet To Akshay Kumar

Last month, Raveena Tandon was targeted for a tweet which she had posted related to ongoing Tanushree Dutta and Nana Patekar sexual harassment controversy. In her tweet, she wrote, “What defines harassment in a workplace? The fact that many industry wives/girlfriends are silent observers or instigators, when actor husbands destroy the actresses careers after the chase and flirtation is over, have them replaced with other potential targets?"

Soon after, Twitterati linked Raveena’s post to ex-boyfriend, Akshay Kumar, and his wife Twinkle Khanna. Before more speculations took over, the actress deemed fit that she clears the air. She lambasted the trolls and wrote, “Some not so clever people making a connect without any knowledge of past. My observations are not my life alone.Its all what I’ve seen happen to women around in my industry. Colleagues and friends. Not targeting any one person. Infact remained friends did movies.”

For those who don’t know, Twinkle Khanna was the first ones to support Tanushree Dutta in the sexual harassment controversy. She had tweeted, “Please read this thread before judging or shaming #TanushreeDutta a working environment without harassment and intimidation is a fundamental right and by speaking up this brave woman helps pave the way towards that very goal for all of us!”
