While we were still coping up with the sudden demise of actor Irrfan Khan, we woke up to the disturbing news of legendary actor Rishi Kapoor’s death. He breathed his last this morning at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai after a 2-year battle with Cancer.
Some time back, we exclusively revealed to you that his last rites will take place at the Chandanwadi crematorium. Now, we have learnt that the actor will have a musical funeral just like his uncles, Shashi and Shammi Kapoor.
"Not sure if there will be a proper band arrangement, considering the lockdown restrictions, but there will be music of some form, when the family bids Rishi Ji a final goodbye," a source close to the Kapoors informed us.
His wife Neetu Kapoor penned a heartwarming post her companion left her. The post read, “He was grateful for the love of his fans that poured in from the world over. In his passing, they would all understand that he would like to be remembered with a smile and not with tears.
In this hour of personal loss, we also recognise that the world is going through a very difficult and troubled time. There are numerous restrictions around movement and gathering in public. We would like to request all his fans and well-wishers and friends of the family to please respect the laws that are in force. He would not have it any other way.”
