Riteish Deshmukh And Genelia D’Souza REACT To Viral Video Of The Actor Kissing Preity Zinta’s Hand At An Award Function
During an appearance on Arbaaz Khan’s show ‘Pinch’, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza shared their funny take on their viral video with Preity Zinta.
Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza recently appeared on Arbaaz Khan’s popular celebrity chat show ‘Pinch 2’. The two talked about many things including their viral video with Preity Zinta. For the unversed, the viral clip showed Genelia coldly observing Riteish as he chatted with Preity and kissed her hands. Her angry and annoyed expression took the internet by storm and started a hilarious meme fest online. So now, while speaking with Arbaaz, Genelia revealed why she reacted the way.
Genelia explained saying, “The actual story is that after a long time, I was attending an award function. I was all dressed up and wore high heels, thinking that I would be okay but we were meeting so many people, we were having conversations, and my feet were killing me. So Preity and Ritesh were having a conversation and unfortunately, the cameraman captured my reaction.”
Riteish told Arbaaz that he was meeting Preity after a long time, and it was difficult to hear each other amid all the commotion. “She was ‘very nice’," he said, adding, “British style mein I kissed her hand. ‘My lady, my lady’ kartey bhool gaya tha ki peechhey my lady was there,” he added.
Notably, soon after the video went viral, Riteish and Genelia came out with their own version of it, showing its aftermath. Genelia posted a fun version of it and wrote, “Wanna know what happened back home?” The clip showed the actress punching Riteish while he fell off the chair on the floor. They were seen singing the Ram Lakhan song 'Tera Naam Liya'.
Riteish and Genelia have been together for nearly two decades now. The couple got married in 2012, after dating for over eight years, and the two are now parents to sons - Riaan and Rahyl.
