Ever since the release of their movie Cirkus, Bollywood celebrities Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh are being subjected to harsh criticisms and trolling from the audience. The comedy caper failed to impress the fans as well as the critics. With its dragged out storyline and wasted talent, Cirkus has become the new target for people on the internet to make memes out of.

Since the movie has only managed to collect Rs 12.65 crore during the weekend of its release, the film has been harshly rejected by the audience. Once excited for the release, they are now trolling the movie with hilarious memes and smart remarks. Fans have also expressed their shock and displeasure over the casts’ bad acting.  One Rohit Shetty fan wrote, “Rohit Shetty .. you owe us an apology for #Cirkus … we should have guessed it when you started with a spelling mistake.. @RohitShetty_FC expects better!!” Another pointed out the fact that the past few Christmas releases for Bollywood have been a flop.  ALSO READ: THROWBACK! For the unversed, the Rohit Shetty directorial is based on Gulzar’s 1982 film Angoor, starring Sanjeev Kumar and Deven Verma. Apart from them actors Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde, Radhika Bangia, Tiku Talsania, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Brijendra Kala, Mukesh Tiwari, Siddhartha Jadhav, Ashwini Kalsekar, and Vrajesh Hirjee will be seen in the movie in pivotal roles.

On the work front, last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus, Ranveer has Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani opposite Alia Bhatt in the pipeline. The movie will mark the directorial comeback of Karan Johar. The film also stars Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.
