RRR: Shraddha Kapoor To Replace British Actress Daisy Edgar Jonas?
Recently, British actress Daisy Edgar Jonas opted out of SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film, RRR. Now reports are rife that Shraddha Kapoor will be brought in as her replacement
Baahubali filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s forthcoming flick RRR has been in the news for its star-cast. The movie hit headlines recently as British actress Daisy Edgar Jonas who was paired opposite Jr NTR opted out due to unavoidable circumstances. The official Twitter handle of RRR wrote, "Due to unavoidable circumstances, @DaisyEdgarJones is no longer a part of our film. We hope she has a brilliant future. #RRR (sic)".
Now, a report in India Today suggests that the director is considering Shraddha Kapoor to replace the British beauty. Parineeti Chopra’s name is also doing the rounds. Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn are already a part of the film and recent speculations stated that Varun Dhawan and Sanjay Dutt may also star in the project. With Shraddha all set to make her Telugu debut opposite Prabhas in Saaho, RRR makers are possibly considering her to star opposite Jr NTR in the film. However, an official announcement on the same is yet to be made.
RRR is a fictitious story of two Telugu freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. Mounted on a lavish budget of Rs 350-400 crore, the movie will depict the grandeur set-up just like Baahubali franchise. RRR is scheduled to release on July 30, 2020 in ten Indian languages simultaneously. In a recent interview, Rajamoui had said, "I wanted to paint the canvas with a new brush so that the universe I create contains valour, energy, and grit."
