Salman Khan has been issued a gun license for self-protection in the wake of the death threats he received last month. Last month, Salman submitted a written application to the Mumbai Police, seeking a weapon license for his protection. In this regard, he visited police HQ located opposite Crawford Market, Mumbai, and met Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar and Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Vishwas Nangre Patil.

Now, as per the latest reports, Khan has got an arms license after completing all formalities. It is being said that Salman’s representative collected the license from the concerned branch in the police headquarters. The IPS officer revealed that the license was handed over after taking the acknowledgment of the person on condition of anonymity. As a part of the procedure, to obtain the license, the file was sent to the deputy commissioner of police (zone 9) for verification and to check Salman’s criminal record, if any.
