Salman Khan Out To Clean Bandstand; Will Donate 5 Mobile Toilets To The BMC
Dabangg Khan is fed-up of the open defecation problem around his house in Bandra. Now he has taken up on him to help the BMC in their cleanliness drive by donating mobile toilets
Salman Khan who resides at Bandstand has been complaining of the open defecation problem since a long time. Finally, he has made up his mind to become the face of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s drive against open defecation and litter.
Not just this, he has graciously agreed to donate 5 mobile toilets to support the drive.
According to a leading daily, the civic body approached Salman for the campaign some time ago, and on Tuesday, Being Human Foundation confirmed his participation for the cause. In their reply to the BMC, Being Human officials replied, “We are in receipt of your letter addressed to Mr Salman Khan requesting him to become the brand ambassador of the BMC to assist them in their cleanliness drives. We are pleased to inform you that Mr Salman Khan will be happy to accept your invitation and through Being Human-the Salman Khan foundation will help the BMC in creating awareness about cleanliness drives.”
Salman and BMC Commissioner Ajoy Mehta are likely to hold discussions related to the idea and the actor might feature in drives, videos or radio jingles for the campaign.
The BMC is concerned about the problem of open defecation in the city and are keen to remove the open defection spots at the earliest and Salman Khan’s foundation-Being Human will be actively involved in it.
Salman Khan’s association with PM Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan will definitely garner attention, considering his crazy fan following.
