Salman Khan has an opinion on the various dating apps that have caught the fancy of the youth brigade. The actor particularly asks Priyanka Chopra, the reason for launching one of these, when she has Nick Jonas by her side now
Salman Khan has been busy promoting his upcoming production Notebook that stars debutantes Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl (she is the granddaughter of yesteryear actress Nutan) in main roles. During the promotions, the actor was asked about the unusual love story of Notebook that may not find relevance in today’s times, as the protagonists of the film never meet, and fall in love through a Notebook.
In an era of dating apps like Tinder and Grindr, will Notebook find acceptance? The actor replied, “Why only Tinder, and not Grindr?” For those uninitiated, Grindr is a dating app exclusively for the LGBTQIA+ community. He said, “I don’t have these apps on my phone.” He was then asked about Bumble, a dating app launched by Priyanka Chopra recently in India. An amused Salman asked, “Why does she need that now?” considering she got married to Nick Jonas recently.
Salman and Priyanka were supposed to team up for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat but the actress quit the project just some days before the shoot began citing personal reasons. Later, Salman roped in Katrina Kaif for the movie. Ever since, there have been speculations that all is not well between the two.
Workwise, the actor will be seen in Bharat that stars Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Tabu, Sunil Grover in pivotal roles. The movie is slated to release during Eid this year.
