Bollywood’s Sultan Salman Khan has reportedly upgraded his regular car to a Toyota Land Cruiser with features like bulletproof glass and armour. The actor has decided to revamp his wheels following the death threats given to him by the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. As per reports, Lawrence Bishnoi had threatened to kill Khan and demanded a public apology to their community in the Jambaji temple. In fact, Salman’s father received an anonymous letter threatening to kill them last month.
The Wanted actor has also recently applied for a gun license for his protection amid the alleged death threats. Now as per the latest report in Bollywoodlife, the new car with bulletproof glass and armour, was seen coming out of the driveway of Salman’s home, Galaxy Apartment in Mumbai. The report added that this upgraded version of the new car- Toyota Land Cruiser “is not the new model as this is from the previous generation.”
To note, even the security of Salman Khan has been beefed up by the Mumbai Police following death threats. The number of security personnel deployed at his house. has also been increased. Meanwhile, On 10 July, the Delhi Police released a statement in public after interrogating Bishnoi. Commissioner HGS Dhaliwal revealed that during his interrogation, Lawrence Bishnoi stated that both Salman and his father Salim Khan have to issue an apology only then he would reconsider his decision not to kill Salman Khan.
The commissioner was quoted as saying, "During interrogation, he candidly said that since the Bishnois consider the blackbuck to be the reincarnation of their religious guru, Bhagwan Jambeshwar also known as Jambaji, acquittal or punishment from the court will not be the last verdict for him. He also said the actor and his father either tender public apology in Jambaji temple or the Bishnois will kill them.”
On the work front, Salman will next be seen in the upcoming actioner Tiger 3 with Katrina Kaif.
