Raveena Tandon is a legendary actress who has given some incredible performances in the movies and some amazing grooving numbers. Songs like ‘Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast’ and ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’ from ‘Mohra’ in 1994 were on the playlist of every party and indeed they are still. The production designer and co-screenplay writer Shabbir Boxwala recently revealed that Raveena Tandon was apprehensive about doing, ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’.
Shabbir Boxwala revealed in an interview with Bollywood Hungama that Raveena was apprehensive about shooting ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’. He was quoted saying, “Raveena had met Rajiv. She knew that it was a good project but she was apprehensive, as there was a peck in the ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’ song. She said that her father won’t appreciate it. To which Rajiv said, ‘Don’t show the film to your dad’ (laughs)! Finally, she agreed.”

Shabbir further spoke about Raveen becoming the star post the release of the movie. He quipped, “Yes. Also, she became to be known as the ‘Mast Mast’ girl, just like Anil Kapoor got associated with ‘Jhakaas’ after Yudh or Sidharth Malhotra is now known as ‘Shershaah of Bollywood’!”.
Earlier, Tandon had confessed that she was never comfortable doing provocative songs, but for Mohra she was convinced. She further added that though the choreography was erotic, it was never suggestive or vulgar. Raveena also mentioned that song was shot on a construction site over four days with rocks and nails lying. She has to perform barefoot. She even caught a fever during the filming of the song as she had to be drenched in water for the song.
Meanwhile, the iconic rain song was recreated by Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’.
For the unversed, the first choice for the song was Divya Bharti, who unfortunately died after falling from the fifth floor. On the work front, 47year old actress was last seen in the massive hit of 2022 KGF: Chapter 2 and also featured in the Netflix series, Aranyak.
