Bollywood actor, Sandeep Nahar died by suicide on Monday. According to the latest reports, police officials investigating the actor’s sudden demise revealed he hanged himself in his bedroom flat. The officials disclosed more details as well. Sandeep Nahar had shared a video and made a post on his Facebook account before he took the drastic step. The actor had blamed his wife in the video and also mentioned ‘politics’ he faced in Bollywood in the ‘suicide note’ he shared on social media.
According to a PTI report, Nahar was first spotted hanging from the ceiling fan of his bedroom by his wife and her friends, revealed an official. On Tuesday, a police official disclosed details and said, “Nahar was spotted hanging from the ceiling fan of his bedroom by his wife and her friends. They brought him down and rushed him to hospital in Goregaon where he was declared dead on arrival." The official mentioned that the door of Nahar’s bedroom was locked from inside. As per the police, Nahar had posted the video on his social media, three hours before he died.
The official revealed that after several knocks on the door by the actor’s wife that failed to evoke any response, she called her friends, the owner of the flat and a key maker. The official in the report mentioned that the door was finally opened with a duplicate key. As per the official, the police will record the statements of Nahar’s wife, as she was the first person to see him hanging. The official revealed that the statements of others who had rushed him to the hospital will also be recorded. As per the report, on Tuesday, Nahar’s brother and father arrived at Goregaon police station to claim his mortal remains for the last rites. The official mentioned that no complaint has been lodged so far from any side.
Late Sandeep Nahar worked with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput in the film MS Dhoni. He also featured in Akshay Kumar’s Kesari. Kumar made a post on social media, offering his condolences to the bereaved family.
