Filmmaker Hansal Mehta informed his followers on social media a few days back about how he is unable to contact a lab to get his wife tested for Coronavirus. The filmmaker made a frantic call of sorts seeking help for his wife who was showing symptoms of COVID-19. On Wednesday, Hansal Mehta took to his Twitter handle to inform followers that he has likely contracted COVID-19. The director revealed he is waiting for the test results. This update comes after Mehta’s wife and daughters tested positive.
Hansal Mehta tweeted, “Looks like I’ve also got the virus.” He speculated that he has got the virus after a list of symptoms he was showing. The director mentioned he has a fever and other mild symptoms in his tweet. He added, “Throat, fever and other mild symptoms.” Mehta continued to mention that he is waiting for the test results but has started the treatment. He also proclaimed that he will fight the virus and recover from it soon.

The Scam 1992 director had earlier shared an update about his wife and daughters testing positive for the virus. He had tweeted, “Inspite of precautions, my wife and daughters are symptomatic and are being treated for COVID-19 while we await test results from overworked labs.” In his tweet, the filmmaker urged everyone to stay indoors and mentioned that prayers, festivals can be done privately. He asked everyone to take care and ‘Mask Up’. Meanwhile, Mehta has been very active on social media in the past few days. The director is constantly posting help calls made by people and doing his best to extend support. Work-wise, the filmmaker announced the sequel of his hit web series. The next season is titled Scam 2003: The Curious Case of Abdul Kareem Telgi.
