Actress and frontline warrior Shikha Malhotra had made the headlines in 2020, when she had returned to work as a nurse during COVID-19. A month after the release of her debut film Kaanchli Life in a Slough, she donned her white uniform and joined the Covid ICU in a BMC hospital, Mumbai. She helped many patients and was also promoted as a patient counsellor. She became a true inspiration for many, however, working in the field came with harsh consequences as she herself got covid.
Following her diagnoses, she suffered a major brain stroke that left her right side paralysed. Now in an interaction with celebrity paparazzi Viral Bhayani, she opened up about her recovery journey. The actress, who essayed a small role in Shah Rukh Khan’s Fan, also shared her bikini pictures with the pap, stating that she wanted to talk about her transformation as it was “about life and death.” Netizens now taken to the comment section of the post to shower her with love and admiration. On the work front, Shikha Malhotra has worked in films like Shah Rukh Khan starrer Fan, and Running Shaadi. She is also part of the Rajasthani film Kaanchli: Life In a Slough which stars actor Sanjay Mishra too. The movie is directed by filmmaker Dedipya Joshii. She also holds a nursing degree and was working on the frontline after the pandemic hit.
