Shershaah, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani has been riding high on positive reviews from the critics and the audience since it was released on the streaming platform, Amazon Prime Video. The film has been directed by Vishnuvardhan. Shershaah is based on the life story of 1999 Kargil War Hero, Captain Vikram Batra, who laid down his life for the country, while fighting against the enemies. Now, Captain Vikram Batra’s father Mr Giridhar Lal Batra talks about Vikram’s soulmate, Dimple Cheema.
Speaking with ETimes, Mr Giridhar Lal Batra revealed that Dimple Cheema calls up twice in a year on his and Vikram Batra’s mom, Mrs Kamal Kanta Batra’s birthdays. When asked if Cheema is still in touch with the family, Vikram Batra’s father said, “She calls up about twice in a year on our respective birthdays.”
Vikram Batra’s soulmate Dimple Cheema, who was going to get married to the war Hero chose to live with Vikram’s memories than marry someone. Talking about Dimple’s decision to not marry after Vikram Batra, his father said, “After the Kargil war, we told her to get married as she has a life ahead. Her parents too told her the same. But she told us that she wouldn't get married and live the rest of her life with Vikram's memories.”
Mr Giridhar Lal Batra even shared that Vikram Batra had told them about Dimple and his intention of getting married. He said, “Vikram had told us about Dimple and their intention of getting married. I told him that I was with them in their decision.
