SHOCKING! When Kiara Advani Almost Got Ashneer Grover DIVORCED; His Wife Asked Him, ‘Tumhe Kiara Se Shaadi Karni Hai’
In his book ‘Doglapan,’ Ashneer Grover revealed how Kiara Advani once almost got him divorced!
Former Shark Tank India judge Ashneer Grover lately has been grabbing headlines for multiple reasons. He was recently in the news after being removed from Shark Tank India season 2 which aired last week. Ashneer is also grabbing eyeballs owing to his book ‘Doglapan’ which is one of the bestsellers on Amazon. Surprisingly, in one of its chapters, he revealed Bollywood actress Kiara Advani once almost got him divorced. Yes, you read that right!
As per an excerpt in his memoir, his wife Madhuri got very angry and stopped talking to him. She even asked him “Tumhe Kiara Advani se shaadi karni hai.” In the book, Ashneer narrated an incident when he met his friend and a fellow founder at his workplace who probed him about his marriage plans. His friend told him he has hired a matchmaker like Sima Aunty from Indian Matchmaking. Later when Ashneer Grover asked his friend about an alternative plan, he suggested Kiara Advani as an ideal match for him. Hearing this, the former co-founder of BharatPe jokingly remembered his mother’s old saying, “Aap ko pata nahi hai market mein aaj kal kya chal raha hai. Aaj ke din shaadi ho rahi hoti na toh Kiara Advani ka rishta aata aapke bete ke liye.” And, this made his wife lose her calm. When they were leaving for Mumbai on the aircraft, his wife Madhuri didn't talk to him the whole time. She asked him if he wanted to marry the actress. His wife kept slamming Ashneer for the next 30 minutes as she reminded him how he was nothing when she got married to him and that he agreed to do Shark Tank India only because of her.
He wrote in his book, “Through this tirade, I sat with my hands held out, holding her jewellery, which she had unceremoniously dumped on me. From the corner of my eye, I could see an old gentleman who had his headphones on to watch a Netflix movie take them off to listen in on the live movie playing out on the aircraft.”
Meanwhile, Ashneer Grover has joined the second season of Pitchers which streams on Zee5.
