Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani Will Head To Kargil In July For Shoot Of Shershaah
Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani will be featuring in the lead roles in Vishnu Varadhan’s film Shershaah. The film is based on the life of an Indian Army officer, captain Vikram Batra who received the Param Vir Chakra for his actions during the Kargil war of 1999, which will mark the directorial debut of the director. The film was announced on May 2 2019 by producer Karan Johar. The film is produced under the banner of Dharma Productions.

Sidharth began his military training for the film on 17th April 2019. The film started its shooting in May, in Chandigarh. According to Mumbai Mirror, the schedule of the film will next start in Kargil. The team will be arriving in Ladakh to celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas on July 26. As of July 26th, this year will mark the 20th anniversary, the celebrations will spread over three days from July 25 to July 27.


According to a source,” Siddharth and Kiara will kick off the shoot after the celebrations and will also spend some time with the soldiers. While Siddharth will stay on for at least a month to film war sequences with the Param Vir Chakra for his actions during the 1999 Kargil war.


Kargil Vijay Diwas was named after the success of Operation Vijay on 26th July 1999. It’s to celebrate the successful victory of the Indian Army when they took command of the high outposts which had been lost to Pakistan intruders.

Sidharth will be next seen in 2019 releases Jabariya Jodi and Marjaavan. Whereas, Kiara is busy with the promotions of the film Kabir Singh which is set to release on the 21 June 2019, co-starring Shahid Kapoor in lead roles.
