The stage was set for Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur and Diljit Dosanjh to start shooting for a film to be produced by Wiz Films and Vashu Bhagnani. Wizcraft, an event management company and the organizers of the International Indian Film Awards (IIFA) was all set to venture into production with a full length feature film.
“One of the films that we are producing will feature Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur and Diljit Dosanjh. The film will have elements of romance, comedy and drama. It should go on floors this year. Things are in process as far as the title and director of the film is concerned,” Founder-Director of Wizcraft, Sabbas Joseph had told PTI, sometime ago.
Buzz also was that a lot of biggies from B-Town will be roped in for this project in cameos, and that some portions of the film will be shot at the upcoming IIFA awards to be held this month in New York.
Rumour has it that Aditya has walked out of the film.
While we still don't know why Aditya took this drastic decision at the last minute, it won't be rocket science to guess that Bhagnani and Wiz Films are not happy about this development, err, spanner.
Meanwhile, Sonakshi will be seen next in the remake version of the 1969 unforgettable Rajesh Khanna-Nanda thriller Ittefaq co-starring Akshaye Khanna and Sidharth Malhotra. The film is being directed by BR Chopra's grandson Abhay Chopra and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Dharma Productions.
Coming back to Aditya's walkout, naturally, the film's shoot has been thrown in a bit of jeopardy.
The hunt for Aditya's replacement has begun frantically.
We hope Aditya has second thoughts and returns to where he belonged.
Despite calls and text messages, Aditya Roy Kapur, Vashu Bhagnani and Sabbas Joseph remained unavailable for comment.
