Fashionista Sonam Kapoor tied the the knot with Anand Ahuja on May 8, 2018. The wedding was held in Mumbai and the diva got married in traditional Anand karaj ceremony in presence of her close family members. While many videos and picture surfaced on the internet, finally we got our hands on a picture of Sonam’s unique mangalsutra. The actress has designer her own mangalsutra and it has got a certain significance which explains their union.
Usheeta Rawtani, who turned Sonam's creation into a master piece, shared it on her Social media handle.
She captioned the picture, “Congratulations on your wedding @sonamkapoor & @anandahuja. A mangalsutra is a sacred necklace that a groom ties around a brides neck in an Indian wedding ceremony. This one was especially designed by the bride (@sonamkapoor) herself and executed by us. It has symbols of both their star signs. Hers being Gemini (on the left) and his Leo (on the right) these are complimented by a Solitaire in the centre.”

and Anand Ahuja had a Sikh wedding at her aunt’s place followed by a wedding
party on the same night at The Leela.
For her wedding reception, Sonam opted for a black and
grey combination lehenga choli with straightened hair. Anand, on the other
hand, chose a black bandhgala sherwani- both look adorable together.
The guests at the reception included names like, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Rani Mukerji, Arjun Kapoor, Abhishek-Aishwarya, Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput, Ranveer Singh, Masaba Gupta, Swara Bhasker among others.
The wedding functions started on Sunday night, with an
intimate Mehendi ceremony at Anil Kapoor’s Juhu bungalow. The day after, a more
elaborate Mehendi ceremony was organised at Signature Island, BKC.
