Sonam Kapoor Parts Ways With Neerja Producer Atul Kasbekar’s Talent Agency

Bollywood is one such place where we can expect the unexpected.
Here’s an example of this. Sonam Kapoor was being handled by famous photographer Atul Kasbekar’s talent management agency. Atul has produced Sonam’s much acclaimed film- Neerja. But now, we hear that the duo has separated professionally.

Reportedly, Sonam Kapoor has opted out of his agency and has decided that going forward her work will be handled by Madhu Mantena’s agency. Reason for this split?
Well, Sonam felt that she is not getting meaty work of late. Reportedly, she was unhappy with the kind of roles the agency was fetching for her. Sonam also felt that the agency is primarily occupied with their films- Tumhari Tullu with Vidya Balan and two other films in pipeline. Because of which they are not being able to pay attention to her work.
“Sonam wants to add more brand endorsements and films to her portfolio. And she is feeling a need of change in work energies.” added a source.
Finally, Sonam took the call and quit Atul’s agency.
Ms. Kapoor has now joined the agency which has acquired Hrithik Roshan’s work as well.
The news is surprising because Sonam and Atul share a very good relationship. He has been handling Sonam’s work since a decade. In fact, Atul has given Sonam her career’s best work till date- Neerja, for which she received a lot of critical acclaim as well.

Sonam and Atul even appeared together on Vogue’s BFF series a few months back.
However, Sonam has not given an official statement on the same. We await the actress to throw some light on the issue. May be its strictly professional and the two are great friends even today.
