Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab’s son Sooraj Pancholi marked his acting debut with Salman Khan’s 2015 film Hero alongside Athiya Shetty. Prior to that, Sooraj immediately hit the headlines after the shocking news of actress-girlfriend Jiah Khan’s suicide in 2013. The Pancholi family faced a lot of turmoil and allegations post her suicide. Pancholi was then accused of several crimes by Jiah’s mother Rabiya Khan. Sooraj also spent some time behind the bars. Now, he finally talks about his experience inside the jail and reveals disturbing details.

Since the past six years, the suicide case of actress Jiah Khan has been going on in the court and seems to not see the light. With the chaos going around, Sooraj Pancholi recently opened about his experience in jail and revealed details as he missed someone who he loved dearly. Talking about his time in jail, in an interview with Pinkvilla.com, Sooraj spoke about being put in the Anda Cell at the Arthur Road jail, which is considered to be the most secluded cell. Revealing details about the cell, the Hero actor explained how he had no contact with anyone and spoke about even not getting hold of newspapers in there. Sooraj added about him being numb at that moment and mentioned how nothing mattered at the moment. Pancholi further added about constantly thinking that he lost someone he loved.


Speaking of the case going on in court for years, Sooraj explained the reason why he didn’t speak much about the case. Pancholi spoke about how he has been silent for years, as he has a lot of respect for the family of the actress and respects what the family has been through.

Talking about the media, Pancholi criticized the media for not doing their job properly and thinks the media have been unfair to him, by not covering the positive side of him during the proceedings of the court case.


Actress Jiah Khan was 25 when took the drastic decision of ending her life. Jiah Khan marked her Bollywood debut in 2007 film Nishabd co-starring Amitabh Bachchan. She also made an appearance in the Aamir Khan film Ghajini and Housefull. Meanwhile, on the other hand, Sooraj Pancholi made his big-screen debut with Hero and currently has films Satellite Shankar and Time To Dance lined up. Sooraj is also often snapped by the media after his gym sessions with friends from Bollywood.
