Soorma Trailer: Taapsee Paanu & Diljit Dosanjh Pack A Punch

Taapsee Pannu and Diljit Dosanjh starrer, Soorma’s trailer has just dropped online and the trio has seamlessly transformed into their respective characters. The 2-minute-49-second trailer depicts the story of former Hockey player, Sandeep Singh, played by Diljit Dosanjh. Taapsee is seen playing his love interest in the film.

Last year, we brought to you the poster of Soorma. The poster looked fierce, and conveyed an array of emotions. It captured two moments, one where Diljit is holding a hockey stick in his hands and is raring to go... in sharp contrast to another picture that sees him on a wheel chair.

Soorma is directed by Shaad Ali. It stars Angad Bedi alongside Diljit and Taapsee.  The story of the film is goosebump inducing. It tracks the great comeback story of hockey legend Sandeep Singh.

Singh is a former captain of the Indian National Hockey Team. In 2006, he suffered a serious injury after being hit by an accidental gunshot in a train, while on his way to join the national team, set to leave for the World Cup in Germany two days later. Singh was almost paralysed and was on the wheel chair for two years. But he not just recovered, but also established himself as a sporting legend, all over again.

The film is produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Chitrangda Singh and Deepak Singh. It is set to hit theatres on July 13, 2018.
