Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi is one of the most-awaited films of this year. Directed by Rohit Shetty, Sooryavanshi was supposed to release last year and since, has had several release dates confirmed but all were postponed due to the surge in Coronavirus cases in India. However, as per the latest reports, there could be a release of the film in theatres on 15th August. Yes, you read that right!
Box Office Worldwide reports that Reliance Entertainment has been in conversation with exhibitors about this date and the film's release in theatres. It's been reported that Reliance Entertainment has said that they wouldn't be paying any voluntary Provident Fund charges and this could become a new normal. The sharing percentage per week is also apparently increasing.
Sooryavanshi's trailer received an amazing response from the audience. Fans are eagerly waiting for the film to be released. Earlier, Akshay Kumar had addressed reports about the release date of Sooryavanshi and Bell Bottom. He said that he is overwhelmed with the kind of excitement fans have shown for these movies. 'However, at this point, it is purely speculative to say that both films will release on Independence Day. The producers of both films are working out the release dates and will make announcements at the right time,' he added.
On the other hand, the team of Sooryavanshi is awaiting the return of director Rohit Shetty, who is currently shooting for the stunt-based show 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 11' in South Africa.
