Sooryavanshi: Akshay Kumar's Film Will Not Release On April 2; Makers To Share The Release Date On Rohit Shetty's Birthday - Reports
Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi directed by Rohit Shetty was supposed to hit the theatres last year. Right before its release, the pandemic hit and its release got pushed. The nationwide lockdown affected its release tremendously and now the makers are eyeing at the best date to release the film. It was being reported that Sooryavanshi that also stars Katrina Kaif will make it to the theatres on April 2. However, that's not going to happen.

As reported by Koimoi, an insider trade report has suggested that the film will not hit the theatres on April 2 and the clarity on its release date will be done on Rohit Shetty's birthday which falls on March 14. So we can expect one big announcement happening on March 14 if this is true. There is a lot of anticipation around Sooryanashi as fans are desperately waiting to see an all out action-packed drama on the big screen.

Earlier, producer of Sooryanshi Shibashish Sarkar had shed some light on the film's release. He has stated that they are eye April or June to release the film. To Pinkvilla, he had said, "The status of the situation is very clear. Currently, the film are slated for a release in the first quarter of FY 21 (April to June). We are closing our commercials with all our partners, including theatres, once that is closed, we will announce the date. As a producer, I would want the audience to be aware about the release date of our film, and I am sure, they would know about it when we officially announce. We will start the marketing campaign with full blast, and the audience will come to the cinema halls – I am pretty sure. We will close our open-ended commercials very soon and then announce the film.”
