Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer cop drama, Sooryavanshi is a hit. Helmed by Rohit Shetty, the film was released in theatres on November 5. The film is earning well at the box office and has also managed to enter the coveted 100 crore club in just five days of its release. Sooryavanshi is the third film in Rohit's cop universe following Ajay Devgn starrer Singham and Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba.
As reported by India Today, Sooryavanshi is now all set to release on the OTT giant, Netflix. It will begin to stream on Netflix from the first week of December. It is also learnt that the makers have been paid a hefty 100 crore for the same.
Akshay and the Sooryavanshi team are on cloud nine. Following then success of the film, Akshay shared a goofy video on Instagram and wrote in the caption, "Pardon the goofy gig am overjoyed! Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif in lead roles also has cameos by Ajay Devgn's Singham and Ranveer Singh's Simmba. The movie was scheduled to release last year but was pushed ahead and kept on hold due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Given Sooryavanshi's success, the team's decision to release the film in theatres has been paid off.
