Sophie Choudry Hits Back At Trolls Questioning Her Accent; Says, ‘Brought Up In England, Studied In Paris, Working In India’
Being a celebrity is never easy, they have to be under the constant glare of the media, with netizens and trolls nitpicking at them and criticising them. Actress and singer Sophie Choudry was the recent celeb who faced a criticism by a netizen for her accent. She had recently taken to her official social media handle to share a video describing how her day, while on a tour, looks like.

In the video, before giving glimpses of her hectic work day in Thailand, Sophie says, “So after a crazy six hour flight delay, we finally made it. Now it’s a three hour car journey.” She goes on to give a tour of her hotel room, and glimpses of her rehearsal and the show. She posted the video with the caption, “Why that accent living in India?!?” ALSO READ: Sophie Choudry Wins The Internet With Her Version Of ‘Doobey’ From Deepika Padukone’s Gehraiyaan; Fans Say, ‘Amazing Magical Voice’

Replying to the comment, the 40-year-old dancer wrote, “ummm born and brought up in England , studied in Paris, working in India… what accent am I supposed to have? So passé to expect people to speak in a certain way when their upbringing has been so eclectic.”

One troll even bashed her from complaining about her delayed flight. They wrote, “Such a difficult life! Had to wait for a flight and had to travel in a flight and get driven by a chauffeur in luxury car to rest in a five star property to do a dance show to get paid only few millions! -and here we are complaining about going to work by bus/train/cycle/walking with other 100’s of people to accompany us and work 9-5 sitting desk job or even better just do a some simple physical labor in scorching sun just to make us look physically fit and earn a huge thousands of rupees. Such an easy life and we still complain. # we should take inspiration from #sophiechoudry and #truestruggles!” ALSO READ: Sophie Choudry Speaks About Coping With Ageism And Malaika Arora Getting TROLLED Every Day: ‘Easy To Judge But Industry Is Tough Place To Survive'

Reacting to the troll, with a calm composure, Sophie said, “1. Am not complaining. Just showing what a show day looks like. 2. It’s a 2 hour show of live singing not lip synch or dance which can get tiring when you don’t get to sleep. 3. It’s taken 20yrs of hard work to get and stay here. And I’m grateful for every single minute. If by now you don’t understand the kind of person I am, I’m happier not to have you as a follower.”

Sophie Choudry often takes to her social media handle to share videos of her recreating popular songs. Her filmography includes films like, ‘Alibaug’, ‘Kya Kool Hai Hum’, ‘Speed’ and many more
