Sridevi’s 55TH Birth Anniversary: Last Year, This Day- Actress Partied At Manish Malhotra’s House; Boney’s Affectionate Kiss

Sridevi passed away on February 24 this year leaving behind an indelible mark on Indian cinema. It’s the legendary actress’ 55th birthday anniversary today and on the day, videos of the actress’ last year’s birthday celebrations have surfaced on the Internet.

In one of them, we see Sridevi surrounded by Rekha, Rani Mukerji, Aishwarya Rai and Shabana Azmi as they sing ‘Happy Birthday’ for her. The party was hosted by the late actress’ dear friend – Manish Malhotra.

In another video, we see Sridevi and Boney Kapoor exiting the designer’s residence when, while getting clicked by shutterbugs, the producer plants a kiss on his wifey dearest’s cheeks. Take a look:

Sometime ago, we told you how Janhvi always follows Sridevi’s acting mantra. She told a daily, “You have to create an impact with whatever little you get. If one can leave an impression [in such parts] on audiences and touch their hearts, then there's nothing like it. That's what mum [Sridevi] always used to say. She would tell me, ‘it's never about the kind of role you get... you need to create magic with whatever is given to you’. I hope that I can get to that [stage] one day.”

Earlier in the day, we had brought to you the news that the actress’ mural will be unveiled in Bandra today. It will incorporate her look from the film Gurudev (1993).

Janhvi posted a throwback family picture on her mom’s birthday this morning and it was heartening to see the trio – Sridevi, Boney and Janhvi – together in earlier times.

Yesterday, we told you that the I&B Ministry will also be paying a special tribute to the late actress by screening the actress’s notable works like Mom, Lamhe, Mr India and Chandni for the span of two days.
