Senior actress Sujata Kumar passed away on August 19. Her funeral took place at Juhu Crematorium on Monday which had sister Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, daughter Kritika and actor Arif Zakaria in attendance
Sujata Kumar, who portrayed Sridevi’s endearing sister in
English vinglish, breathed her last on August 19. SpotboyE.com was the first to
bring to you that the actress was suffering from stage 4 cancer. Her
sister, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi too took to Facebook to write, “Our
beloved Sujata Kumar has passed away and moved on to a better
place leaving us with an umimaginable void. She left us an hour ago at 11.26 pm
on the 19th of august 2018. Life can never be the same again.”Now, here are the funeral pictures of the late actress.
Suchitra and Sujata’s daughter, Kritika, along with Arif Zakaria, who starred
with her ’80s TV show Chunauti, came in for the last rites. The
cremation took place at the Juhu Crematorium.

Sujata was a cancer survivor, the Big C resurfaced this
year. The lady was on cloud nine after she got noticed for
her role in English Vinglish. She has also been part of a number of TV shows
and had categorically said in one of her interviews, six years ago, that
English Vinglish paved her return journey. Post the film, she also starred in
Raanjhanaa and Gori Tere Pyar Mein, followed by Anil Kapoor's 24 on Colors.
