Since Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, the late actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty is one of the main accused in his case. The whole narrative of SSR’s death case changed when his father KK Singh lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and five others, accusing them of abetment of suicide. Later, the Supreme Court ordered a CBI probe in the SSR death case. Now, during an interview, reacting to media trials of Rhea, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma speaks out in support of actress Rhea Chakraborty and slams trials.
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma extended his support to actress Rhea Chakraborty. The Satya director said, “In the case of Rhea Chakraborty, I don't think anyone cares if she is guilty or not. Day in and day out she is being badgered and being portrayed as a witch or a murderer.” During the interview, RGV mentioned how he feels that in Rhea Chakraborty’s case, no one cares if she is guilty or not.
Ram Gopal Varma then went out and also called out Bollywood celebrities for maintaining their silence. As Bollywood celebrities are maintaining their stoic silence when it comes to extending their support to Rhea Chakraborty, RGV spoke on the media trials of Rhea Chakraborty. Talking about the media trails, the Satya director expressed how he feels Rhea is being badgered or being portrayed as a witch or a murderer, even before the investigation is complete. The filmmaker also said that he is ashamed of his colleagues from the film industry.

Meanwhile, today, Republic reported that according to sources, the Enforcement Directorate has shared evidence of Rhea Chakraborty’s use and dealing of narcotics with the CBI’s SIT. On the other hand, reports also claimed that the CBI team is likely to summon the actress for questioning anytime soon.
