Sushant Singh Rajput Drugs Case: Siddharth Pithani Is Still Waiting To Get His Bail, Reveals His Lawyer- DEETS Inside
As per the latest reports, Sushant Singh Rajput’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani’s bail plea in the drug case has been pending
Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput left for his heavenly abode on June 14, 2020. The actor was allegedly found hanging in his Bandra apartment and since then, the investigation of his death case is underway. His death was investigated from several angles by the Central Bureau of Investigation and NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau). During the investigation, NCB found a drug angle linked to it and started investigating the drug case related to Sushant’s death case.
Last year, Sushant’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani was arrested by the NCB from Hyderabad in a drug case related to the late actor. Siddharth applied for many bail pleas but every time they got rejected. Now as per the latest development on this, Pithani's lawyer Taraq Sayyed has revealed that Siddharth is still waiting to get bail. Taraq told Etimes TV, “We have applied for bail in January but the hearing is yet to come up in court.”
For the unversed, Siddharth Pithani got arrested by NCB after the evidence from his phone and WhatsApp chats suggested he had alleged connections with drug suppliers. Although, every time Pithani’s bail got rejected, the court gave him special permission to attend his marriage in 2021 in Hyderabad. Reportedly, he surrendered himself a fortnight after his marriage. Not just Siddharth Pithani came under the radar of NCB, the investigating agency arrested several others in the Sushant Singh Rajput drugs case. SSS’s rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, and her brother Showik Chakraborty among others got arrested.
Last month, CBI has reportedly refused to provide any information regarding Sushant Singh Rajput Case to an RTI query. CBI released a statement that read, “Sushant Singh Rajput case is in the process of investigation, information about the progress may impede the process of investigation. Information requested cannot be provided.”
