Meanwhile, Sheer Qorma recently won the Grand Jury Narrative Short at the Gasparilla International Film Festival.
Talking about the win, Mid-day quoted Faraz Ansari as saying, “First wins are always very special. When I read the news that Sheer Qorma won the Grand Jury Award at Gasparilla International Film Festival, I was sitting with my mom on the dinner table having breakfast. I screamed so loudly and broke out into a dance, jumping all over. This win is also so special because for a queer film to win the biggest award at a mainstream film festival is always a very big deal. I’m very grateful that the jury chose our film and honoured it. A film like Sheer Qorma isn’t made everyday and I am grateful that they world is now getting to experience it.” Also Read: Swara Bhasker Reveals She Slept Before 6 AM For The First Time In Over A Month; Wants Fans To Congratulate Her For Her Achievement
